He was predeceased by: his parents, Olin Elschlager and Cecil Farnsworth Elschlager; his wife Donna Weirather; and his brother Kenneth Elschlager. He is survived by: his children, David Elschlager (Tina) of Hamilton, IL and Linda Welborn (Paul) of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Leah Zanolla (David) of Carthage, IL, Seth Elschlager (Megan) of St. Louis, MO, Becca McEneaney (Rob) of Crystal Lake, IL, Emily Hill (Jesse) of Burlington, IA, Abby Welborn of Gilbert, AZ and Maria Welborn of Bosie, ID; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah, Lydia Zanolla, Addie, Olivia Elschlager, Judah Calvin McEneaney and Kylee.
Masks will be required and social distancing will be in effect.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ program "Beds for Children Ministry" or Lee County Hospice.
