We bid farewell to Albert O'Bleness of Keokuk, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 25, 2024 at the age of 94. Albert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert, Sr. O'Bleness and Helen O'Bleness (Ketterer); his wife Alice Jayne Garner of Mary's Catholic Church; his sisters, Mary and Margaret; and his daughter Debbie Carroll.
He is survived by: his children, Denise O'Bleness (Scott Verhagen) of New York City and Michael O'Bleness (Janet) of Keokuk; his son-in-law Dave Carroll; his grandchildren, Brian Carroll (Leah) of Keokuk, Christopher Carroll of Keokuk, Dr. Jessica O'Bleness (Drew Fischels) of Iowa City and Dr. Andrew O'Bleness (Kelsey) of Waukee, Iowa; and his great grandchildren, Aubree, Ascher, Kyler, Isaiah, Ellia and Callum.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home (917 Blondeau St, Keokuk, IA 52632-4921). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (310 S 9th St, Keokuk, IA 52632). A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at the Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to All Saints Catholic Church or the Arthritis Foundation.
