He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Boehmer and Darline Boehmer (Tibbals); his grandson Justin Kinkade; and his brother Craig Boehmer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Walker; his siblings, Ruth Westcott (James "Buck") of Waterloo and Rod Boehmer of Waterloo; his children, Kathy Thenhaus (Bryan) of Mason City and Kris Nevenhoven (Brian); and his grandchildren, Bryce Kinkade, Corey Nevenhoven and Amber Gregory.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel (126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
