He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer and Maxine; his grandparents, Earl, Edith Forney, Bert and Sadie Avery; and his brother Gary.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia, Cyndi Avery (Jeff Weldon) and Chris Arend (Kevin); his close friend Kelley Henning; and his grandchildren, Madigan Arend, Jace Weldon, Karsyn Arend, Jack Weldon, Julian Weldon and Amelia Weldon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kellogg Volunteer Fire Department, an organization Rick felt strongly about.
