He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Vaughn and Marvis Vaughn (Trotter); and his friend Philip Townsend. He is survived by: his children, Travis Vaughn (Anna), Trevor Vaughn (Brianna) and Tiffany Pennington (Brandon); his grandchildren, Taylor, Brooke Vaughn, Audrey, Averie, Evarly Vaughn, Tegan, Easton Pennington and Karter Collum; his sister Julie McConnell (Randy); his niece Amanda Omann; his nephew Cory McConnell; and his close friend Buck Morrison.

Memorials may be directed to Suncrest Hospice in his name.
