It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda L. DeGreef of Kellogg, Iowa, born in Colfax, Iowa, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Poortinga and Lois Poortinga (Woodyard); her husband Jake DeGreef; her son-in-law Terry Ellenwood; and her siblings, Georgia, Jean Wilcox (John) and Fred Poortinga.

She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Ellenwood (Dave Arrowood) of Kellogg and Diane Phillips (Tom) of Norwalk; her grandchildren, Chris Ellenwood (Kasandra), Jacki Best (Robert), Sarah Stoker (Matt), Mark Phillips (Maggie) and Katie Phillips (Bill Crow); her great grandchildren, Harley Peacher, Carter Ellenwood, Natalie Best, Blake Best and Reid Phillips; and her sister-in-law Connie DeGreef of Newton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
