Jerri Worthington Obituary

Jerri Lynn Worthington was born in Mount Ayr, Iowa on October 26, 1954 to Melvin Dean "Pete" & Ruby Marie (Sutton) Cavender. Jerri was later adopted by Donald Stewart. Because of Donald's military career, the family lived in various communities. Jerri married John Thomas Worthington. They lived in Oklahoma and Arkansas before moving to Kellerton in 1992.

Jerri and John bought and operated the café in Kellerton from 1993 to 2001, making new friends and reuniting with old friends. Jerri passed away at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr on April 2, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John on January 10, 2014; son John Worthington, Jr; brother Gary Stewart; and two infant daughters.

Survivors include Bandit, Doc and Babydog, all at home; her children Jada (T.J.) Mate of Kellerton, IA, Lenzy Moore of Duluth, MN, Charla (Bill) Garnes of Grimes, IA, Desiree (Darrell) Worthington-Jones of Denver, CO, Tory (Roxanne) Worthington of Creston, IA; daughter-in-law Shawnda Worthington of Adel, IA; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; siblings Dean (Cindy) Cavender of Ames, IA, Janice (Tony) Luster of Muldrow, OK, and Scott (Robin) Stewart of Muldrow, OK; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jerri has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. Sympathy cards may be sent to the family at Armstrong Funeral Home.
