We bid farewell to Mazie Weiss of Kanawha, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 6, 2024 at the age of 87. Mazie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Precht and Mazie Precht (Staylor); her husband Edward Weiss Jr.; her siblings, Rowland Williams, Larry Williams and Eleanor Scheufele; and her children, Michelle Brown, Henry Jones and Andrew Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Harrison (John), Daniel Jones (Dreama), Phillip Jones (Marquita), Nicole Weiss and Holly Weiss-Chipman (Chancy). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ewing Funeral Home (178 Center St W, Britt, IA 50423). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (139 3rd St SW, Britt, IA 50423). The inurnment was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery (139 3rd St SW, Britt, IA 50423).
