He is survived by: his children, Jessie Mewes (Gorton), Deborah Quintus (Ken) of Garner and Ann Mewes of Hamilton, Montana; his grandchildren, Ellen Schulte (Eric), Lauren Gilkerson (Nathanael), Brandie Puryear, Emily Kriese (John), Jacob Mewes, Anthony Mewes and Samantha Mewes; his sisters-in-law, Carol Lauen (Richard) of Searcy, Harriet Baker of Dallas and Ina Brinkman; and his niece Delores Wardenberg. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
