It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin Oberender of Kamrar, Iowa, born in Hampton, Iowa, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Rosella Oberender (Meyerann); and his brother Jerry Oberender. He is survived by: his father Lyle Oberender of Webster City; his former wife Paula Hendrickson; his sons, Scott Oberender (Kristie) of Jewell, Jared Oberender (Tonya) of Roland and Christopher Oberender (Shanda) of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Deven, Dakota, Daytan, Dallace, Dawson, Dannie-Lynn, Jordin, Haile, Jaxson, Owen, Luka, Colten and Kane; his great grandchildren, Haiden, Harper and Hailey; and his siblings, Joyce Peters (Keith) of Hampton, Janet Tribolet (Rich) of Story City, Jim Oberender (Gloria) of Story City, Steve Oberender of Buckeye and Neil Oberender of Durand, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Hamilton County Pony Express for Camp Sunnyside.
