He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt "Vern" Pigsley and Emaline Pigsley (Fries); his wife Shirley M. Ellison; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Nellie Ellison (Flaherty); his sisters, Norma Kluever and Carolyn Dilley (Dean); his sisters-in-law, DeLoris Hull (Bob), LaVonna Clark, Vonda Hammack and Dorothy Mae McCallum; and his son-in-law Timothy Morgan.

He is survived by: his children, Scott (Nancy Pigsley), Burton (Amy Pigsley) and Denise Morgan of Kamrar; his siblings, Eldon Pigsley (Judy), Ivan Pigsley (Carole) and Jeri Hayes (Ted) of Webster City; and his brothers-in-law, Don Clark and Dencil Hammack (Dorothy) of Woodbine. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Del's wishes were for memorials to be given to Community Church of Kamrar Youth Group and/or Kamrar Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department.
