Rose Anne (Thomann) Amelon Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2025, at the age of 63, Rose Anne (Thomann) Amelon of Kalona, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Clement "Joe" Thomann; her grandsons, William and Edward Amelon; her siblings, Ron Thomann and Joan Horesowsky; and her brother-in-law Tom Noldan.
She is survived by: her mother Elizabeth "Betty" Thomann (Frueh) of Hills; her husband Doug Amelon of Mary's Catholic Church; her children, Nick Amelon of Tiffin, Josh Amelon (Alyssa) of Riverside and Kayla Amelon of Hills; her grandchildren, Ali, Mackenzie, Clint, Wayne and Scott; her siblings, Jane Goesch (Dave), Mary Jo LeBlanc (Dave), Donna Noldan and Ken Thomann (Becky); and her siblings-in-law, Charlotte Thomann and Pat Horesowsky. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Holy (51 St Mary's St, Riverside, IA 52327). Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established for the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
