She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Spenner and Lillian Spenner (Maier); her husband Lyle "Hoot" Zahradnek; her children, Marilyn, Ed and Dave Zahradnek; her sisters, Delores Zahradnek and Carolyn Amelon; and her daughters-in-law, Debra Zahradnek and Claudine Zahradnek.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jerry Zahradnek (Traci) of Kalona, Jake Zahradnek of Kalona, Jenny Sexton of Kalona, Gabe of Kalona, Garrett of Kalona, Bella of Kalona, Jessie Zahradnek of Kalona and Clint Zahradnek of San Antonio, TX; her great grandchildren, Maddi (Justin Harland), Shelby and Jack Zahradnek; her daughter-in-law Serena Zahradnek of Kalona; and her sister Mary Carter of Frisco, TX.. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the Kalona 1st Responders.
