He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bontrager and Elizabeth Bontrager (Miller); his former wife Gertie Yoder; his daughter Anna Mabel Mast (Moses); and his grandson Vincent Lane Peachey.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Schlabach; his daughter Edna Fern Peachey (Earl) of Mattawana; and his siblings, William, Enos, Harry, Joe, Edward, Andrew, Fannie, Sarah and Edna.
