It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Omer Douglas Goodner (Kalona, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on January 28, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Goodner and Helen Goodner (Hannah); and his brother-in-law Benito Rivera. He is survived by: his former wife Susan Ross; his sons, David Goodner (Emily) of Iowa City and Joseph Goodner (Theresa) of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Henry, Margaret, Amalia and Genevieve; his former wife Susan Goodner; and his siblings, Diane Rivera of Bloomington, IN, Steve Goodner (Deb) of Ankeny, Tom Goodner of Smyrna, TN and Brian Goodner (Dianne). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Pleasantview Home or Hospice of Washington County.
