We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2021, at the age of 87, James Shalla of Kalona, Iowa, born in Washington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Shalla and Blanche Shalla (Novy); and his sisters, Joanne, Janice and Jeanne Fowler.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Thomann of Kalona; his children, Tom Shalla of Kalona, Peggy Duwa (Tom) of Kalona and Sue Wollrab (J. D.) of Ainsworth; his grandchildren, Andrew Shalla (Jennie), Adam Shalla (Callie), Alex Shalla (Michelle), Ryan Duwa (Megan), Kylee Striegel (Ryan), Jesse Wollrab and Cessalie Wollrab; and his brother Jesse Shalla (Emma) of Crown Point, IN.. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
