It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Mitchell of Kalona, Iowa, who passed away on December 18, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mitchell and Helen Mitchell (Hamilton); and his pets, Butchie, Buddy and Princess.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Durham; his pet Breeze; his daughters, Janette Chaplin, Patty Chaplin and Kala Milton; his grandchildren, Kelsi Harr, Lenox Harr, Elyssa Kading, Allison Kading, Madelyn Lynam and Jacob Brooks; and his siblings, Catherine Hutchison (Rick), Sandra Braden, Laurie Serdar (Dave) and Greg Mitchell. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
