We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2023, at the age of 92, Dale Eugene Widmer of Kalona, Iowa, born in Mount Pleasant, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dale Eugene Widmer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel G Widmer and Viola Widmer (Wyse); his wife Gerry; his son-in-law Jeff Schlabach; his great grandchild Rhett Schlabach; his siblings, Galen, Clayton, Clinton, George, Willard, Wesley, Stanley, Blaine and Vernelda Slagel; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lois Widmer, Marie Widmer and Warren Slagel.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Hoyt (Randy) of Kalona, Julia Miller (Larry) of Frytown and Monte Widmer of Riverside; and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Widmer of Washington, Martha Widmer of Wayland, Alta Widmer of Williamsburg and Phyllis Headrick (Don) of Johnston. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
