He was predeceased by: his parent Elmo J. Kron; his son Phillip Kron; his sister Joyce Kron-Chalupa; his nephew Nicholas Kron; and his brother-in-law John Thomann.
He is survived by: his mother Virginia Kron (Lenz) of Lone Tree; his children, Michelle Kron of Pella and Curtis Kron (Alissa) of Riverside; his grandsons, Colton and Caleb Kron; his siblings, Marilyn Thomann of Kearney, Linda Corpman (Doug) of Columbus Junction, Jane Hotz (Tom) of Lone Tree, Greg Kron (Vickie) of Springville and Kristine Stumpf (Tim) of Lone Tree; and his brother-in-law Alan Chalupa of Wellman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established for St. Mary's Catholic Church.
