He is survived by: his parents, Rudolf Bachmann and Christine Bachmann (Schweitzer); his wife Fern of Kalona; his children, Jim Bachmann of Iowa City, Linda Kay Bachmann of Kalona and Carolyn Yoder (Atlee) of Kalona; his grandchildren, Nathaniel De Avila (Andrea) of Winnipeg, Manitoba Yoder and Allison Yoder of Iowa City; his sister Tillie Kennel (Norman) of Iowa City; his brother-in-law John Christner (Marilyn) of Burlington; his sister Nellie Christner; and also Preceding Art.
