She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Yoder and Clarissa Yoder (Hochstedler); her siblings, Ernest Yoder, Glen Dale Yoder, Pauline Yoder, Susan Yoder, Anna Marie, Velma Yoder and Iva Yoder; and her sister-in-law Esther Yoder.
She is survived by: her brother Willis (Wilma Yoder) of Kalona.
Alta died at her home in Kalona following a long illness with Parkinson's on Monday, December 26, 2022 at the age of 83 years.
