He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Wagler and Josephine Wagler (Isch); and his siblings, Vada Reimer, Willis and Delmar Wagler.

He is survived by: his wife Lucy; his children, Judy Yoder (Calvin) of Kalona, Connie Hotchkiss (Mark) of Wayland, Michael Wagler (Rachel) of Naples, FL, Steven Wagler (Cally) of Kansas City, KS and David Wagler (Shanell) of Panora, IA; and his brothers, Harold Wagler of Kalona and Ed Wagler of Wayland. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Fund has been established for Crooked Creek Christian Camp and Pleasantview Nursing Home.
