She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Reed and Frieda Reed; her husband Professor Joe Woods; and her siblings, Lois McCully, Dorothy Reed, Gene Reed and Ernie Reed.
She is survived by: her cousin Heuermann.
As a volunteer, she spent many hours at the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of Central Iowa, First Baptist Church and wherever she felt she was needed.
