It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maryln J Strohman of Johnston, Iowa, born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away on May 5, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Kurtz and Ferne Kurtz (Courtney); her husband Richard J. Strohman of Joseph's Catholic Church; her brother Alan Kurtz; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Kurtz, Theresa Adam, Virginia Strohman, Betty Sobaski, Robert Kehl, Eugene Strohman, Bernard Sobaski and Omer Adam.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Strohman (Christy) of Des Moines, Mary Angela Seeley of Marion and Kathy Minnick (Ed) of Olathe, KS; her grandchildren, Richard, John, Adam, Lauren, Matthew (Jordyn), Michael (Alanna), Eddie, Ellen (Josh) and Emma; her great grandchild Jack; her siblings, Ruth Ann Kehl of Dubuque and Kenneth Kurtz of Pleasant Plain; and her sister-in-law Helen Kurtz of Galena, IL..
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Mount Pleasant Community School District Foundation for use in elementary school libraries.
