It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha (Field) Gerstenberger of Johnston, Iowa, who passed away on June 16, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Edmund Field and Winifred Howes Field; her husband Richard Carl Gerstenberger; her sister Constance Silipigni (Conny); and her brother-in-law Sal Silipigni.
She is survived by: her son Peter (Sue); her grandsons, Jonathan (Hannah) and Colin; her great grandchild Lainey Sue of Windham, NH; her son Karl (Vicky); her granddaughter Romy of Norridgewock, ME.; her sister Cynthia Jane Kitt (Janie) of Falls Church, VA; and her sister-in-law Arlene Jones of Princeton Junction, NJ. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
They contributed to and volunteered for a variety of charity organizations.
