He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Marquart (Belau); and his parents, William Marquart and Lydie Marquart. He is survived by: his daughter Ann Latham (Chris) of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Will, Courtney and Morgan Latham; his daughter Kelly Timonen (Sean) of Arden Hills; his grandchildren, Elias and Natalie; his brothers, Steve Marquart (Audrey) of Santa Fe and Carl Marquart (Linda) of Madison, Wisconsin.; and also, Curt Belau (Lisa) and Mark Belau (Ann).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Lutheran Church of Hope, which will be funneled into the ministries most dear to John.
