He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester "Les" Grim and Dorothy Grim (Rickertsen); and his sisters, Sheryl Lewis and Barbara Westphal. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Collett of Johnston; his sons, Jeremiah Johnson (Michelle), Justin Johnson (Ashley) of Odessa, Texas and Quinn Johnson (Nancy) of Burr Ridge; his grandchildren, Joclyn, Audrey and Josephine; his sisters, Paula Sanders (Frank) of Fruitland and Joyce Westen (Marty) of Washington, Iowa; and his brothers-in-law, Dick Westphal of Roseville, Minnesota and Don Lewis (Cindy) of Washington, Iowa..
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Elm Grove Cemetery (1101 S Ave E, Washington, IA 52353).
