It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Francis DePhillips of Johnston, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo DePhillips and Mary DePhillips (Conley); his brother Paul; his parents-in-law, Geraldine Duff and William Duff; and his sister-in-law Maureen Duff.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Elizabeth, Brian and Laurie; and his grandchildren, Audrey, John, Lucy, Madelyn, Sienna, Gabriella and Mary Kate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic School to be used for student tuition assistance in honor of Monsignor Chiodo who was a dear friend to John throughout his life.
