She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bernard Schares and Fannie Schares (Golinvaux); her husband Daniel Albert Strauel; and her siblings, Genevieve Weber, Connie McGrane, Augusta Olinger, Paul Schares, Francis Schares and Jim Schares.
She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Guehrn of Cedar Rapids, IA, Donna Sweeney of Malvern, PA, Margaret "Peggy" Schares (Dennis) of Cummings, GA, Mary Pat Moore of Reinbeck, IA, Robert "Bob" Strauel (Kathleen) of Jesup and Donald "Donny" Strauel of Jesup; her grandchildren, Kristy Powers (Brandon), Jessie Nelson (Darin), Joseph Schares (Caroline), Daniel Moore, Ashley Moore, Sara Strauel, Caroline Strauel and Claire Strauel; and her great grandchildren, Ashlynn Nelson and Sadie Isabelle Schares.
Face coverings and social distancing will be required.
Memorials may be directed to St. Athanasius Catholic Church and School in Jesup or the Bosco System in Gilbertville.
