He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis William Burger and Victoria Burger (Weber); his son Michael Burger; and his siblings, Kenneth Burger and Mary Lynch.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Rose Crogveek of Jesup; his children, Karen VanderStoep (Andrew) of Hollandale, MN and Mark Burger of Jesup; his daughter-in-law Mary Jean Burger of Jesup; his grandson Josh Huisenga; his great grandchildren, Boyd and Jurnee; and his sister Alice Meyer of Cedar Falls, IA..
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the White Funeral Home (1315 Main St, Jesup, IA 50648). A rosary was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A vigil service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Athanasius Catholic Church (635 Stevens St, Jesup, IA 50648).
Memorials will be directed to St. Athanasius Catholic School and to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
