She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Lewis "Bud" Fernau and Alice Pauline Fernau (Kerkove); her brother Kevin Fernau; her stepdaughter-in-law Tasha Widner; and her brother-in-law Jerry Hefling.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Widner of Jesup, IA; her daughter Alicia Widner (Bill Engel); her grandchildren, Nate Engel, Kaylee Engel and James Engel; her stepchildren, Eric Widner of Raymond, IA, Eileen Schultz (Chad) of Milwaukee, WI and Aaron Widner of Wisconsin; and her sisters, Lu Ann Hefling of Chattaroy, WA, Gail Christiansen (Daryl) of Jesup, IA, Cheryl Beatty (Duane) of Independence, IA and Donna Pint (Troy) of Jesup, IA.. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; and two step-great granddaughters.
