With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Eugene Sims (Jefferson, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Richard Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard Eugene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sims and Zelia Sims (O'Neill). He is survived by: his wife Tonja Hoffman of Grand Junction, IA; and his children, Leslie Sims of Grimes, IA and Anthony Sims (Mandy) of Dana, IA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 4 siblings, multiple nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
