She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Schmidt and Miriam Schmidt (Jones); her husband Arnold Cornelius; her son Rick Cornelius; her brothers, Melvin Schmidt and Loren Schmidt; and her sister-in-law Kay Schmidt.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Cornelius of Moberly and Randy Cornelius (Monica) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Adam, Sharin and Riley Cornelius; her brothers, Orlen Schmidt of Bondurant and Marvin Schmidt (Margene) of Waverly; and her sisters-in-law, Marilea Schmidt of Vinton and Marcia Schmidt of Gladbrook.
