He was predeceased by: his parents, John Messerly and Kathryn Messerly (Allen). He is survived by: his wife Rita Block; his children, Stephany Kleinheksel (Kevin) of Waterloo, Joshua Messerly of Ankeny and Isaiah Messerly (Brooke) of Taylors Falls, MN; his grandchildren, Kelsey Paulsen (Nick) of Waterloo, Jordyn, Bradyn Kleinheksel of Waterloo, Isabella and Eli Messerly of Taylors Falls, MN; and his siblings, John Messerly (Susan) of Altus, OK, Dean Messerly (Michelle) of Conrad, IA, Mary Lou Eastman (Gordon) of Janesville, Margaret Lee (Dan) of Waterloo and Sarah O'Malley (Bob) of Bella Vista, AR. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
