It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary E. Burton (James, Iowa), born in Indianapolis, Indiana, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James D. Burton; and her grandson John R. Cook. She is survived by: her parent Marine; her brother Guy Peter Rich (Mary); her children, Guy Cook (Cyndi), Shannon Peterson (Jamie) and Jane Beck; and her stepchildren, Robyn Burton (Lance), Martin Burton and James Burton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
