He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Leach and Lois Hill Leach; and his brother Robert L. Leach. He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth; his children, Gallagher (Laura) and Jenny (Casey); and his grandchildren, Claire Leach and Riley.
