He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Frampton and Evelyn Frampton; his sister-in-law Chris Frampton; and his son-in-law Brian Rustvold. He is survived by: his children, Bridget (Pat Obermeier) of Audubon, Rene Rustvold (JR Paulsen) of Audubon, Rachel (Dennis Riesberg) of Keystone and Justin (Dani Frampton) of Grimes, Iowa; his grandchildren, Brittni (Cody Williams) of Hamlin, Kyra (Jake Williams) of Audubon, Sydney Obermeier (Ben Kingery) of Kansas City, Nate Paulsen of Exira, IA, Harley Riesberg of Southerland, Aspen Riesberg of Southerland, Parker Riesberg of Keystone, Macyn of Grimes, Iowa, Riggs of Grimes, Iowa and Kase Frampton of Grimes, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Ryker of Hamlin, Bennett of Hamlin, Koen Williams of Hamlin, Weston, Maverick and Peyton Williams of Audubon, Iowa; and his siblings, Graig (Cindy Frampton) of Mobile and Dixie (Jim Nelson) of Manilla, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home (515 S Division St, Audubon, IA 50025). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First United Methodist Church (428 Washington St, Audubon, IA 50025). A committal service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery. A reception was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church - Audubon (428 Washington St, Audubon, IA 50025).
Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Audubon County Memorial Hospital in memory of Jim and left or mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home at PO Box 201 - Audubon, IA, in care of the family.
