As we bid Jim farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jim is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Colwell and Lois Colwell (Kennish). He is survived by: his wife Dee Colwell of Woodbine; his children, Barbie (Tom Schafer) of Woodbine, Mike Colwell (Becky) of Woodbine and Becky (Matt Leaders) of Woodbine; and his grandchildren, Emily Perry (Jeff), Cameryn Reiman (Cole), Conrad Schafer, Nathan Colwell, Aaron Colwell and Cayden Schafer. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fouts Funeral Home- Woodbine (501 Normal St, Woodbine, IA 51579). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (509 Lincoln Way St, Woodbine, IA 51579).
