It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Baumhover of James, Iowa, who passed away on June 8, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Baumhover and Nellie Baumhover; his siblings, Merle, Jerome Baumhover and Jeanette Nees (Kenny Nees); and his son Allan Baumhover.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jill Christiansen, John Baumhover, Mike Bayliss, Adam Baumhover, Kathryn Bauson, Matt Baumhover, Kyle Baumhover and Jerry Philbin; his siblings, Winifred (Ray Jorgensen), Virgil (Mary Baumhover), Betty (Jerry Klocke), Lenore (Richard Fiedler), Anita (Francis Fiedler), Lorin (Lorraine Baumhover) and Roger (Mary Baumhover); his wife Marie Arlene Christensen; his children, Mary Jo Bayliss (Mark) and Patrick Baumhover (Anne); his daughter-in-law Tammy Baumhover; and his children, Dale Baumhover, Dave Baumhover (Patty), Eileen Philbin (Jerry) and Kevin Baumhover. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and 3 great granddaughters.
The public is invited to attend the graveside service at 11:45 a. m. on Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mt. Carmel and are asked to abide by COVID 19 social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Carroll County Food Bank at 322 W 3rd St, Carroll, Iowa 51401 are preferred.
