He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Spurgin and Myrtle Spurgin (Koepp); his wife Karen E. Sapp of Osceola; his sons, James Spurgin (Christine) and Ron Spurgin; and his grandchildren, Kassidy Spurgin, Landon Spurgin, Tivon Spurgin, Braxdon Spurgin and Khloe Spoelstra. He was also cherished by two brothers and one sister; many nieces and nephews.
