He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Plas and Sylvia Vander Plas (Mulder). He is survived by: his wife Wanetta Altena; his siblings, Robert Vander Plas (Deborah) of Ireton, Tim Vander Plas of Sheldon, Iowa and Debra Vore (Jeff) of Maurice, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Eunice Koopmans (David) of Maurice, Joella Wieseler (Rick) of Ireton, Lori Bolkema (Rod) of Boyden, Audrey Vander Stelt (Mike) of Maurice and Harley Altena (Shelly) of Oshkosh, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
