She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Oppold and Gertrude Oppold (Lamm); her husband James Scallon; her daughters, Jean and Susan Scallon; and her siblings, Evelyn Lawless (Harry), Francis (Peggy), Melvin (Agnes Mary), Edmund (Majory), Robert (Patricia), James (Mary Ann) and Joe Oppold.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Van Valkenburgh of Long Beach, CA, Rita Ballew (Glenn) of Overland Park, KS, Joe Scallon (Linda) of Iowa Falls, Louis Scallon (Cosette) of Ames, Bill Scallon of Galena, IL, Kathy Wackerle (Carl) of Madison, WI and Robert Scallon (Jennifer) of Clive; her grandchildren, Michael (Kelli), Shawn Van Valkenburgh, Ann Marie (Scott Jackson), David Ballew (Sara), Sara Bonney (Craig), Mark (Jenon), Amy Geis (Vince), John Scallon (Kelsey), Greg (Etasha), Ben (Victoria), Nick Scallon (Bree), James Scallon, Alex, Christine Wackerle (Richie Anfinsen), Kyle, Maria McMahon (Arman Cicic), Savannah, Amelia, Spencer and Carter Scallon; and her parents-in-law, Gladys Oppold, Jack (Marge), Gene (Eileen) and Vince Scallon (Janet). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews.
