He is survived by: his children, Michael Lavalle Des Moines (Lisa), Annette Ford Edmonds (Steven), Thomas Lavalle Trumbull (Debra) and Kevin Lavalle Pasadena (Verdelle); and his sister Giovanna. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
