He was predeceased by: his parents, Claus DeBerg and Cornelia DeBerg (Harken); and his brother Dawayne DeBerg. He is survived by: his wife Pat DeBerg (Whittington) of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his children, Scott DeBerg of East Troy, Lisa DeBerg of Cedar Rapids, Tracey Viet (Mike) of Ackley and Jill Stensland (Kent) of Spirit Lake, Iowa; his grandchildren, Michael DeBerg (Tonya), Adam Viet (Sara), Corey Viet (Lindsey), Amanda Grassley (Pat) and Laura Boheman (Brad); his stepchildren, Jeff Whittington (Kim) of Hubbard, Greg Whittington (Myretta) of Nebraska and Renae Whittington Hudspith of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Zach, Bryce Whittington, Mitchel, Bradyn, Lovelyn Whittington, Draven Whittington and Zephyr Hudspith; and his siblings, Willard DeBerg (Darlene), Trenton DeBerg (Sharryl), Terrill DeBerg (Shirley), Norrell Uhlenhopp (Merle) and Corliss Ellingson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
