He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Balvanz and Meryl Balvanz (Imsland); and his sisters, Karen Heitland and Barbara Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Linda Balvanz of Iowa Falls; his sons, Brian Balvanz of Iowa Falls and Bruce Balvanz (Ranae) of Iowa Falls; and his stepgranddaughters, Kristine Rosol of Elkader, Trisha Kaiser of Waverly, Mandy Bowman (Ben) of Waverly and Jenny Mitthun (Nick) of Grafton. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren.
