He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bernard and Agnes Lucille Helvig (Larsen); his brother Neil Helvig; his brother-in-law Tom Roberts; and his nephews, Bret and Brad Roberts.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim Huff (Tim) of Ankeny; his granddaughters, Kathryn Huff of Overland Park, Kansas and Emily Huff of Ankeny; his sister Mary Beth Nelson (Daryl) of Waukee; and his sisters-in-law, Sheryl Roberts of Iowa Falls and Eileen Helvig of Sioux City.
