He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Goossen and Donna M. Goossen (Dickinson). He is survived by: his parent-in-law Tracy Williams; his daughter Carrie; his wife Tracy; his daughters, Taylor Goossen (Nick Pilipchuk), Mackenzie Goossen and Carolyn Goossen (Carrie); his grandchildren, John Weber, Millie Weber and Henry Weber; and his siblings, Jane Wolfe (Lance) of Lincoln, Julie Wilson (Mark) of Omaha and James Goossen of Billings, Montana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
John chaired United Way Campaigns in Grand Island and Topeka and was awarded the Corporate Philanthropy Award by the Topeka Community Foundation in 1999.
