In the sacred silence of farewell, Frances is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Hurd and Wilma Hurd (Kelly); her husband Gene; her grandson PJ; and her siblings, Ed, Rob Hurd and Fonda Hickethier.
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Kelly) of Indianola and Lori (Steve) of Alden; her brother Lloyd Hurd (Jan) of Alden; and her sister-in-law Pam Kinsinger of Arizona. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Surls Funeral Home - Iowa Falls (505 Stevens St, Iowa Falls, IA 50126). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church - Alden (806 Mill St, Alden, IA 50006).
