It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David M. Thornton of Iowa Falls, Iowa, who passed away on December 15, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney Monroe and Lou Reba Thornton (Faris). He is survived by: his wife Marilynn of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his children, Mark Thornton (Kim) of Rochester, Dan Thornton (Cheri Rinke) of Carrollton, Texas and Teresa Prendergast (John) of Greensboro; and his grandchildren, Brant Thornton (Elizabeth) of Rochester, Kirk Thornton of Minneapolis, Emma Thornton of Oklahoma City, Caila Prendergast of Washington, D. C., Anne Prendergast of Washington, D. C., David Prendergast of Greensboro and Callie.
