He was predeceased by: his parents, James Banner and Neva [Allen] Banner; his wife Kae Lynn; and his siblings, Bob Banner, James Banner, Dale Banner, Shirley Anderson, Donna Barker and Barbara Borshel.

He is survived by: his daughter Samantha Mensinger of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings, Cindy Rumley of Ottumwa, Carolyn Whipple of Ackley, Dean Banner of Alden and Rick Banner of Milner, Georgia..
